The Nerdry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) develops and publishes games and related websites, applications, online features, customer-support services, and other services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on which Services you use, we may collect:

  • Account information, such as your username, display name, email address, account identifiers, age or date of birth, and profile settings.
  • Gameplay information, such as game progress, achievements, scores, inventory, preferences, saved data, multiplayer activity, interactions with other players, and content you submit.
  • Device and technical information, such as device type, operating system, language, IP address, device or advertising identifiers, browser type, app version, network information, and diagnostic data.
  • Usage and analytics information, such as features used, session length, screens viewed, clicks, game events, crash reports, performance information, and approximate location inferred from an IP address.
  • Purchase information, such as products purchased, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and purchase history. Payments may be processed by an app store, platform provider, or payment processor. We generally do not receive complete payment-card information.
  • Communications, including messages sent to customer support, survey responses, feedback, bug reports, and communications through community or social features.
  • Social and platform information provided when you connect through a gaming platform, social network, or third-party account, subject to your settings with that provider.
  • Advertising information, such as advertisement views, clicks, campaign attribution, and information used to measure advertising performance.
  • Information from partners, including app stores, gaming platforms, analytics providers, fraud-prevention providers, advertising partners, and other service providers.

We may also collect information with your permission, such as access to notifications, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location. The particular permissions requested depend on the features you choose to use, and you may manage them through your device settings.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Create and manage accounts and save game progress.
  • Enable multiplayer, social, community, and cross-platform features.
  • Process and verify purchases and subscriptions.
  • Personalize gameplay, content, settings, and user experience.

  • Measure engagement and understand how the Services are used.

  • Service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, cloud storage, analytics, customer support, crash reporting, payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and email delivery.
  • Gaming platforms and app stores when necessary to provide platform features, process transactions, verify licenses, or comply with platform requirements.
  • Other players and the public when you use multiplayer, chat, leaderboards, profiles, forums, user-generated content, or similar social features. Information you make public may be viewed or used by others.
  • Affiliates and related companies for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, enforce our agreements, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Parties involved in a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

We require service providers acting on our behalf to process personal information only for authorized purposes and to provide appropriate protections.

4. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for monetary compensation.

We disclose information only as described in this Privacy Policy, including to providers that help us operate the Services. Those providers are not authorized to sell personal information received from us or use it for purposes unrelated to the services they provide to us.

Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly than an exchange for money, particularly when information is used for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. The Nerdry does not disclose personal information for those purposes where the disclosure would legally constitute a sale or sharing, unless we provide the required notice and choices.

5. Advertising and Analytics

We may use analytics and advertising technologies to understand use of the Services, measure performance, prevent fraud, and support advertising. These technologies may use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, or similar identifiers.

You may be able to limit certain data collection or advertising through device settings, platform settings, consent-management tools, or options available within the Services. Limiting these technologies may not eliminate all advertising, but it may reduce personalization.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining legitimate business records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations.

Retention periods may depend on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, and applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it as appropriate.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and should contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

To exercise a right, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

You may also delete or modify certain information through your account, game, device, or platform settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law unless a particular game or feature expressly states otherwise.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If parental consent is required, we will request it before collecting personal information. Parents or guardians may contact us to request access to or deletion of a child’s information.

10. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party platforms, websites, stores, social networks, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the revised policy and update the “Last Updated” date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
